EBay is a world wide venue where people can buy or sell almost anything. EBay offers a few different formats for selling (and buying)

I have been using eBay since the very soon after it became more than just a pez trading site. As a avid collector of coins for decades I used collectors universe as a trading platform for some time before it was overshadowed by eBay. Today it is a site operated by PCGS a major third party grading company and the leading message boards for coin collectors.

Today coins are very heavily traded on eBay. EBay is broken into numerous categories. These categories cam be found under EBay catagories section of this web book.

There is much to know about ebay. There is enough that there are many books written on the subject. I have tried to gather the 10 years of personal use and share it. I have become a power seller on ebay for selling 1,000's of dollars a month of goods on ebay.  I have consulted with numerous other individuals who have similar ebay experience.

Getting started:

The first thing you will need to do is to register on ebay. You can find a link to register on ebay  by using the registration link. This link will remove you from this site and take you to eBay's registration page. You will need to register as a buyer to provide your name, address, telephone and confirm a valid email address. This can not be a free email such as Yahoo or Hotmail. If you are using this email they will look for a credit card as well. If you want to sign up as a seller you will be required to do all of the above and provide a credit card too. Ebay is a safe system and providing your credit card information on a WIRED networks should be safe. You will see the "lock" in the lower internet status bar. Do not do this from a public terminal, internet cafe or free wi fi  site.
